THE PLANT KINGDOM
Phylum Angiosperm

The Order Austrobaileyales Go Down Go Up
The order Austrobaileyales is an order of flowering plants consisting of about 101 species of woody plants which grow as vines, shrubs and trees.
The order Austrobaileyales belongs to the group of basal angiosperms of which there are three orders: 1. Amborelaes; 2. Austrrbaileyales; and 3. Naymphaeales.
The order Austrobaileyales is sister to all remaining extant angiosperms outside of the three Austrobaileyales orders.
Families
The order Austrobaileyales includes just three families of flowering plants:
1. Austrobaileyaceae, a sole genus-species
2. Schisandranceae, a group of vines, shrubs and trees
3. Trimeniaceae, a group of vines and trees bearing essential oils.

Trimeniaceae Family
The family Trimeniaceae consists of one genus, Trimenia with eight species distributed in tropical and subtropical forests in eastern Australia and islands in the South Pacific. The family, comprising the monotypic genus Trimenia, with recent molecular treatments have placed the Trimeniaceae as a discrete lineage within a paraphyletic group of seven families now placed at the basal angiosperm phylogeny.
