Here in this photo, I had just drilled a hole in the bumper mounting frame, into which I had inserted a 3/8 inch bolt in order to have a fixed point of attachment for the new bumper fame. Look for the bolt near the right end of the mounting frame at the bottom edge of the wire mesh.

Then, by the end of the day, well, end of the day for me, I am able to come close to completing the new left side wrap-around front bumper frame.

The Final Leg of the Fall Southbound Migration
Arriving in League City, Texas bespeaks that I now only have to drive through South Texas, which in most previous southbound migrations has been by driving along the Texas coast to Corpus Christi and after staying at either Padre Island National Seashore and/or Corpus Christi state park for several days or as many as a week of overnight stays.
Then, upon my departing from the Corpus Christi Bay Area, I would drive the next section nonstop, which consists of about one hundred and twenty mile and arrive in McAllen, Texas in the Valley on the US side of the Rio Grande River. Although, this year, I chose a somewhat different route, I arrived in McAllen and from there, I drove to Falcon State Park for my first of several trips their primary for a hot shower and an electric receptacke in order to charge my several batteries.

Winter Hiatus Begins
After arriving in McAllen, Texas, I make my first Journey West to Falcon and then upon arriving here at Falcon State Park, where I can see the Rio Grande River for the first time this year, this would indicate that my Winter Hiatus has begun.
, Too, the Rio Grande River flow down from the mountains in Colorado, into Falcon Reservoir and then when it passes through the spillway, continues downstream to the Gulf of Mexico. Here at Falcon State Park, the Rio Grande River flows through the center of Falcon Reservoir.
