The 2010 Journey, Sierras de Jalisco Ecoregion Go Down Go Up
After driving about a hundred miles up the coast of Michoacan, I cross into the state of Colima where I turn northward on Federal Highway (FD) 110 to the city of Colima, next FH 54D north towards the mountains, stopping to take a photo of the Nevado de Colima, tallest of the mountains in the Nevado de Colima National Park.
Volcan de Colima on the left, Nevado de Colima is on the right in this photo.

However, I choose not to drive into the park because all the roads are unimproved. Instead, drive further north on FH 54D, out of the Jalisco mountains and into the high plateau where I stop briefly in Guadalajara, Jalisco, hopefully to correct the problem with my computer not connecting to WiFi.
