The western end of Price canyon begins on US 6 at Soldier Summit, Utah about thirty-seven miles east of the intersection of IH 15 and US 6 in Spanish Fork. From Soldier Summit, the Canyon road continues down off of the summit with the White river on the left, past the Tabbyune Canyon road (FR 119) and crossing the White river just before SR 96. Then, it merges with the Price river which comes down from Scofield reservoir on SR 96 and the combined waters continue into Diamanti Canyon.
Immediately after Diamanti Canyon is the Price Canyon Recreation Area where the BLM has ten campsites ($8.00 per night, half off with senior pass) at coordinates: 39.76018 -110.91640.
US 6 continues down along Price river and Price Canyon until US 191 from Duchesne, Utah comes in from the left which has been following Willow Creek Canyon. Together US 191 and US 6 continue through the remaining portion of Price Canyon and then exits the canyon near Helper, Utah. The two US highways continue through a wide valley, cross Price river one more time at Woodside, Utah and then the two US highways continue south to IH 70 and the Green river.
