The brown thrasher is seen year round in the southeast Coastal Plains
Region, including eastern Texas, around Florida and up to Virginia and during the winter, the brown thrasher can be seen as far south as the Bottom of Texas.
During the summer, the brown thrasher expands his range throughout the Great Plains and Rocky mountain regions in the west with some even going as far north as Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba in Canada.
Also, during the summer, some brown thrashers expand their range northeast throughout the central and eastern areas of the Interior Lowlands, the Interior Highlands, the Appalachian Mountains up to Maine.
Numerous but seems to be declining. Widespread and hides in the underbrush or hedgerows.
Above is bright rufous and below is lighter with brown streaks. Eyes are yellow in adults. Song is a long series of phrases, each phrase is paired or tripled.
