Range
The Cedar Waxwing spend their year in all of non boreal north America but are migratory. During the winter, they are in the south half of the continent and during the summer season, they are found in the northern area of the US and in most of Canada. Too, in many places in the central latitudes they are found year round,
Habitat
The Cedar Waxwing wander in flocks most all year in searching for berries, fruit, flower petals and sap, while during the summer, they feed heavily on insects. They will come to feeders and seem tame.
Description
The Cedar Waxwing are sleek, mostly brownish fading to yellow underneath. Wings are a little darker and the tail feathers have a bright yellow tip on the tail with white undertail culverts. The face has a black mask with white highlights. Juvenile are pail with streaks below.
