Range
The Mexican Cacique is found only on the west coast of Mexico down to and into the northern-most edge of Guatemala.
Habitat
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and heavily degraded former forest.
Description
The cacique is black with yellow on the wings, rump, and tail. Long thin whitish bill.
It is monotypic in its own genus.
