Onsite:
Valley of the Rogue Park has a interstate highway rest stop, a day use picnic area and an overnight campground. The park has three miles of shoreline on the Rogue River with an easy 1.25 mile, self-guided interpretive walking trail provides a relaxing stroll along the river′s edge and it intersects with the Rogue River Greenway Trail which travels 4 miles long throughout the park.
Activities include camping, hiking and fishing on the Rogue river.
Hot Shower?
The facilities including the rest rooms and showers are exceptionally clean. However, and this is a big however, the water in the showers are anything but hot.
As a wayfarer, (one who travels about on the land) one of the most important amenities of a campground is a Hot Shower.
Valley of the Rogue State Park is not one of these places that provide hot showers, instead, the showers here at this state park are barely warm.
This in itself is not necessarily a game ender because nearby are many of the stores and w-marts where this wayfarer normally frequents and where he overnight instead of this state park.
Nearby:
Camp and play along the river made famous by novelist and avid fisherman Zane Grey. Stay at this campground while taking in local shops, museums, culture, history, or other recreation opportunities and sights in the area.
Or, stay here while you take trips to Crater Lake National Park, Oregon Caves National Monument, Jacksonville Historic area, Ashland's Shakespeare Festival, Britt Music Festival or the Applegate Trail that traverses the Rogue River Valley.
