Puget Sound Seashore
Puget Sound is an inlet of the Pacific Ocean and southernmost part of the Salish Sea Basin. Puget Sound is located along the northwestern coast of the state of Washington and is a complex estuarine system of interconnected marine waterways with three open water connections to the Pacific Ocean.
The major connection is through Admiralty Inlet from the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Two other minor connections are through Deception Pass and Swinomish Channel.
