The Plain Chachalaca Go Down Go Up
Order: Galliformes, Family: Cracidae
Genus: Ortalis, Species: Vetual, L 22 inches

Plain Chachalaca
This bird is tropical and can be found in the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
Locally common in flocks or solitary and even though it is considered a ground walker, this bird lives primarily in trees (arboreal).
Quinta Mazatian World Birding Center
(Day 954 BR) 59°F.
Here at this birding center, I see a chicken like bird with a very odd call.
