Found along the border with Mexico and in extreme southern Florida.

Numerous and widespread from cactus desert to suburbs and especially in mesquite brush. Seen alone or in flocks and often with mourning doves.

Description

Feeds frequently on cactus fruit and will come to feeder trays.

White patches on wings and tail. Females are slightly duller.
