The campground is located in extreme southeast Texas, located on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico in southern Jefferson County on SH 87, some twenty-seven miles southwest of Port Arthur, Texas and ten miles on west of Sabine Pass, Texas.

Although closed for several years due to extensive damage from Hurricane Rita and Hurricane Ike, the park has recently re-opened but only with limited resources.

East Beach primitive camping area is still closed as it the nature trail boardwalk.

Sea Rim State Park has 5.2 miles of Gulf shoreline and 4,141 acres of marshlands.

Here, you can camp in an improved campsite, go birding and beach combing, paddle in a canoe or kayak, swim, fish, hunt (in season) and walk the trails and beach.

(MX) Beware: Camping here during any time but the coldest temperatures will inevitably be replete with mosquitoes.

Electric Site: $20.00 plus tax.

Primitive Site: $10.00 plus tax.

Floating Primitive Site: $15.00 plus tax

15 Electric sites have picnic table, outdoor grill, tent pad, lantern post, 50/30 amp hookup, water hookup

75 Primitive sites have no water and not reservable, but allow ground fires and equestrian camping.

1 Floating Primitive Boat-in site has 13 foot x 20 foot wooden float deck, in Marsh Unit area.
