The state park is located on state highway FM 762, just north of FM 1462 between Rosharon, Texas and Damon, Texas.

A one hour drive south from Houston will bring you to this campground and outdoor natural area.

Nature is the highlight of this state park, and amenities includes biking, camping, fishing, geocache, hiking, picnicking, horseback riding and, wildlife viewing.

The park has 37 miles of trails, a gift shop, ranger programs, nature center and the George Observatory (open Saturday 3-10 pm).

The Brazos Bend state park is the closest state park from all of south Houston.

Alligators are common in some area of the park and must be given due respect.
