The Emigrant Springs State Park, Oregon

The Campsite
Emigrant Springs State Park Campground
The campground is located at exit 234 from either direction on IH 84 near Meacham, Oregon.
The state park is located in an old growth forest near the summit of Blue Mountain.
Oregon Trail
In 1812, trappers and traders of the Astor overland expedition crossed the Blue Mountains and established a route for the upcoming Oregon Trail emigrants.
This state park is now known as a State Heritage Area because it has long served as a popular stop for pioneer travelers on the Oregon Trail as far back as the mid 1800′s. There is an Oregon Trail display in the park.

Some of the things to do at this campground are: horse camp, cabins, Oregon Trail display, nature trail, basketball court, baseball field, horseshoe pits, amphitheater, snow tubbing.

General Information:
This campground is open year round but only four sites are open during the winter with water available at the restroom building which is heated in the winter.
Campsites are a mix of first come, first serve and reservable sites. Online reservation with available at midnight every day, or by phone one day to nine months ahead.
RV dump station is located seven miles west at Deadman′s Pass rest area.
Daily Camping Fees:
18 Full Hookup sites: $26.00
1 Electric-Water site: $24.00
32 Tent sites: $17.00
7 Horsecamp sites: $17.00
6 Rustic Log cabins: $26.00 or $43.00
1 Group Tent site: $71.00 (add $3.00 per person after 25 people)
Campground Includes:
Hard surfaces site parking, picnic table, fire pit-grill, water nearby
A restroom-shower building has hot showers and flush toilets.
