THE LIGHTHOUSES
The Lights of Oregon

The Pelican Bay Light Go Down Go Back
The Pelican Bay Light is located on a bluff above Brookings Harbor at the mouth of the Chetco River. This light is one of two privately operated lighthouses in Oregon. Pelican Bay lighthouse is one of the newest in the country being commissioned by the Coast Guard in 1999 and is the southernmost light in Oregon.
Built as an addition to an existing house, the lighthouse and the home to which it is attached is owned by Bill and Jo Ann Cady. This is a privately owned lighthouse which is not open to the public. This lighthouse can easily be viewed from the harbor below.
The lamp is an acrylic Fresnel lens and is visible from 12 miles off the coast.
Coordinates: 42.04175 -124.26290
Elevation: 45 Feet
