The campground is located in town just east of the railroad tracks, on West 1st Street in Dumas, Texas. West 1st Street, heading westward out of town becomes US 87, and heading eastward out of town is SH 152.

Texhoma Park offers a free complementary 24-hour overnight stay at the RV park. The spaces are all first come, first serve so there is no reservations for any of them.

The RV spots each have an 120 volt electric hookup with 20 amp, 30 amp and 50 amp connections. Also, in the park are a picnic area and a play area with swings for the children. Too, there is a dog park, two fire pit areas and a cornhole game set.

Arrived last evening after driving from Borger, Texas. I drove a different route this year and crossed over the Lake Meridith Dam, seeing the lake for the first time. I learned that the dam is on the Canadian River and as I drive past, it does not look like the lake water has breached the spillway for many years.

Upon arriving at Texhoma RV Park, I park in one of the spaces, stepped out of the jammer to plug in and then get back inside to set up and begin working on my computer. After the sun sets, I look out to see if I can see the current celestial events but find the sky to be cloudy.

This morning, I pack out, roll up my extension cord, stow it in the jammer and then stop to take a couple of photos before I drive out of the park and

Arrived yesterday just after midday, and found the campground empty. I selected the space closest to the restroom and then walked there to determine what the status was, and discovered it to be open and did have paper, but not much. Before the sunset, two more RVs arrive and take their sites.

Then, I spend the rest of this day, pounding keys to update my website, and then retire some time after ten this evening.

Awake, rise, step out of the jammer and do my morning walk to the restroom. Then I return to the jammer, take a few last photos of this park, unplug and exit Texhoma Park, turn right onto US 87 and drive west tweny-four miles to Hartley, Texas where I take the southbound exit onto US 385 amd drive another eighty miles to Hereford, Texas. When I arrive at US 60, I turn left and immediately arrive at the w-mart where I pull in, park, carry my computer bag inside and order a cup of coffee.

Awake to an amazingly warm morning with clear blue skies. I take down my window shades, climb into the drivers seat and start the jammer. I then exit the parking lot, turn left and drive north on SH Loop 335. When I arrive at US 87, I turn left again and continue north to Dumas, Texas where I stop at a ff-mart for coffee, com and computer.

I continue here until about eleven when I leave the cafe and drive north through town to 1st Street, which is also US 87 and drive the few blocks to the Texoma RV park and stop for the day. I get out my electrical cord and plug in. Then, I climb into the jammer and I create a new campground page for Texhoma Park.
