Journey On, Day 75
Martin Creek Lake State Park Campground, Space 35
Awake to the morning twilight, then, looking outside, I see the moon is close to the western horizon and quickly disappears into the forest. Too, I see Venus on the opposite horizon which is rising into the sky. Soon, the day begins to slowly unfold into morning.
Rising, I dress in my winter blues, walk to the restroom and looking around, I notice that I am the only camper in this neck of the woods.
When I return to the jammer, get out my cookpot and stove, walk to the table and light the stove to boil some water for my morning meal.

Journey On, Day Seventeen
Awake, drive the af-mart to fill my gas tank and see that it has increased again overnight, now ten cents higher than when I first arrived here in Lufkin. Afterwards, I leave Lufkin to continue my drive through the
Pine Belt area on US 59 north to Nacogdoches, then around the east loop to the north side of the city where I take the US 259 exit and continue north on this highway to Henderson, Texas. Here I exit east on SH 43 and drive toward Tatum, Texas, however, before arriving at Tatum, upon seeing the state park sign, I that that road to the left, drive into the park and pay for one night in the Bee Tree Loop for seventeen dollars.
