THE RAINBOWS
The Dew Bow

The Dew Bow Go Down Go Up
The dew bow is formed by sunlight shining on heavy dew, almost always in the morning. Large dew drops produce the bow by refracting and reflecting light the same way as do raindrops.

Viewing Dew Bows
Although rare, dew bows are most commonly seen in the fall, when dewdrops form on a dense network of spider webs, or grasses, where the dew hanging on the webs acts like rain, and diffract the light.
