THE FULL MOON
The Strawberry Moon

The June Moon Gallery Go Down Go Up
Full Strawberry Moon
The full moon in June occurs when the Algonquin tribes would begin to gather the ripening strawberries. It is also known as the Rose Moon and the Hot Moon.
In Europe, the full moon in this month is often called the Honey Moon and the Mead Moon. This is because there is honey in the bee hives to harvest and with the honey a fermented drink would be made which is called mead.
